**NEW** VERSE TO MEMORIZE THIS WEEK
There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.

What is desired in a man is kindness,
And a poor man is better than a liar.
The fear of the Lord leads to life,
And he who has it will abide in satisfaction;
He will not be visited with evil.

Proverbs 19:21-23 NKJV

EXTRA VERSES TO MEMORIZE:
*Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV)
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.

*Proverbs 14:26-27 (NIV)
Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress,
    and for their children it will be a refuge.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
    turning a person from the snares of death.

Hello friends! I'm going to ask for some of your imagination today.  As you're reading, I want you to imagine all of the ladies studying Proverbs with us.  Now, put us all in a room, and in a circle.  Everyone there?  Good.  Don't forget to imagine up a babysitter to watch the kiddos, if need be, while we study and discuss Proverbs 13:)

Now let us begin.

Proverbs 13:1 - A wise son heed his father's instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke.

Proverbs 13:10 - Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

Ah, now by a show of hands, who all here has made the mistake of not listening to the Holy Spirit when He was trying to speak, or show you something?  Who here has done something that they knew our Father would never agree with? (Our whole group raises their hands) Yeah, me too, you guys.  So many times we find ourselves caught up in what we want to do, or what feels right to us.  Like we know best or something.  Pshhhh. Seriously?  I, myself, can be so daft sometimes.  We have a Daddy who always knows the way to go.  HE IS the way to go.  We are all daughters of the star breather (Psalms 33:6).  Our Daddy wants us to listen to Him.  He knows what is best, and He always, always, has our best interest at heart.

Now ladies, moving onto a different subject.

Proverbs 13:20 - He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.

How important is it that we surround ourselves with other believers? (Everyone kind of starts trying to imply that this is what we are imaginarily doing right now)  Yes, yes, I know.  It's not hard when we have such a wonderful group of ladies to discuss all of our uplifting, and inspirational scriptures with.  However, I really want us to take a little while and really consider, and be thankful of how we are so blessed.  Not everyone has such wonderful sisters in Christ.

Proverbs 6:27 - Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned?

I know some of us have to be around non-believers at work, or other places.  Just continue to pray and lift them up to Jesus.  He will put you in the place you need to be to share with them what needs to be shared.  Just be careful not to fall into any sinful ways. You wouldn't want to suffer the harm that is warned in Proverbs 13 verse 20.  Be careful what situations you get yourself into. You cant play with fire without being burned.  Be strong.  Just keep your eyes open and keep careful watch.  After all, you are strong enough to withstand temptation.  Our Daddy has our back.

1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Well, I believe I'm done.  Now y'all leave our imaginary gathering and head on home.  Pay your babysitter well;) I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
